I had the great pleasure of meeting Dan Cohen of Danny Macaroons last week. He found me through my good friends Schnitzel & Things and asked if I’d try his product. I’ve always been a bit skeptical of macaroons as I find they’re either hit or miss; one dry macaroon will have you swearing them off forever, or at least hesitant to pay for them. I warned Dan about my prejudice, which he accepted with ease (turns out many people are anti-macaroon). We met to discuss the dessert over coffee, which, turns out, is the perfect macaroon accompaniment. Full review and more about the elegant recipe later this week on AmyBlogsChow.com.
